Never before have we had a governor defund Planned Parenthood, putting thousands of patients at risk of losing health care services. Nor have we had a governor work so hard to limit women's access to birth control--going so far as to eliminate "contraceptives" from the list of services that should be included in a woman's health program.
Never before have we seen a governor that so quickly advanced polices to reduce women’s access to information and affordable health care services during a time of economic crisis.
And never before have we seen a governor so out of touch with the wants and priorities of Wisconsin residents.

For over a year, we had tried to work with Governor Walker and his allies to change their minds. We've turned out thousands at rallies, testified during marathon public hearings, attended lobby days, made phone calls, wrote letters, and went door-to-door. Yet Governor Scott Walker ignored tens of thousands of Wisconsin women and families, putting our communities' health and well-being at risk.
