Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin Announces our Annual ‘Share Our Vision’ Events Featuring Special Guest Michelle Goldberg

Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin is hosting their annual friendraiser events in September, and invites supporters, advocates and friends to join in sharing a vision of a safe, healthy, strong Wisconsin. This year’s celebrations will be held with a dinner in Madison on Thursday, September 15th at the Lowell Center; and a luncheon at the Harley Davidson Museum in Milwaukee on Friday, September 16th.

Planned Parenthood is especially excited to announce this year’s featured guest speaker for both ‘Share Our Vision’ events, award winning journalist and a fierce advocate for reproductive rights, Michelle Goldberg.

Michelle Goldberg, a journalist from New York City whose work has been published in The New Republic, Rolling Stone, Glamour, The Guardian and more. She is also a senior correspondent for The American Prospect, a columnist for The Daily Beast and a former senior writer for Salon.com.
Michelle Goldberg’s most recent, highly regarded book, The Means of Reproduction: Sex Power and the Future of the World, explores the international battle over reproductive rights. It has been described on her website, www.michellegoldberg.net, as “a book of vaulting ambition and intellectual passion. Michelle Goldberg looks at literally the entire world through the prism of women's issues and women's rights. From abortion to female circumcision, from sexual trafficking to abstinence-only programs, from Poland to Ethiopia to Nicaragua, she examines the conflict between self-determination and patriarchal tradition.”

At this critical time in the ongoing battle to advance basic health care for Wisconsin women and families, Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin invites you to join them in celebrating 75 years of being the Wisconsin’s most trusted women’s health care provider.
