Planned Parenthood Advocates Stands by Condemnation of Paul Hill Days & Pro-Life Wisconsin

Madison, WI- Yesterday, Pro-Life Wisconsin unveiled its latest attack on Planned Parenthood in an effort to distort the truth around Pro-Life Wisconsin’s presence at a disturbing event dubbed Paul Hill Days. The four-day event, held last month in Milwaukee, was touted by organizers as a memorial honoring convicted murderer Paul Hill. Rather than publicly condemning Paul Hill Days, Pro-Life Wisconsin has resorted to threats of baseless litigation against Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin (PPAWI) and PPAWI Vice President of Public Affairs Lisa Boyce in an effort to diffuse exposure of Pro-Life Wisconsin’s extremist agenda. PPAWI and Lisa Boyce reiterate their condemnation of Paul Hill Days and the presence of Pro-Life Wisconsin’s executive director.

Paul Hill Days was an appalling event that took place in Milwaukee from July 26 to 29 that involved members of the ‘pro-life’ movement across the nation, and included the presence of Pro-Life Wisconsin Executive Director Peggy Hamill on Saturday, July 28. Organizers of Paul Hill Days described the event as a celebration of convicted murderer Paul Hill, and justified his murder of Dr. John Britton and his bodyguard as “…biblical and appropriate.”

“As an organization dedicated to the health and well-being of women and related public policy, we feel it is important to educate the public on matters relevant to women’s health,” commented Boyce. “Peggy Hamill’s presence at Paul Hill Days lends credence to the conclusion that she and her organization support a dangerous and extreme agenda.”
