why PPAWI has launched an extensive voter mobilization effort leading up to the
general election on November 4, aimed at turning out the vote for pro-choice
candidates. By Election Day, PPAWI will have made almost one-half million voter
contacts through the use of mail, phone, door-to-door canvasses and e-advocacy.
PPAWI's
endorsed candidates have demonstrated their commitment to the progressive
health care standards and values that are core to PPAWI's mission. It is imperative to support candidates who
support access to prevention based health care like birth control and
comprehensive sex education, the very things that we rely upon to make
informed, responsible decisions to prevent unintended pregnancy, enhance
maternal and child health and reduce the incidence of abortion.
